About Us
Far too many students see math as a stale and boring subject, which leads many to give up on the subject altogether—severely limiting their future career opportunities and personal development. But who says that learning math can’t be fun? The idea that mathematics—when presented in a colorful and engaging way—can be a truly enjoyable subject is what inspired the creation of Mashup Math.
The site was founded in 2015 by Anthony Persico, a middle school math teacher in the United States, who used animation software to create video lessons and puzzles that made difficult math topics fun and easy-to-understand for kids, which he began sharing on a website and YouTube channel called Mashup Math.
Since then, Mashup Math has grown into a comprehensive online collection of K-8 math resources that are designed to help students practice and learn math in a fun and engaging way. With a focus on math skills and topics typically covered in grades K-8, Mashup Math offers a wide range of learning materials and resources including puzzles, worksheets, and animated video lessons that change the way students think about practicing and learning math. Since launching, Mashup Math has become a go-to destination for math teachers who rely on our resources to make their daily lessons fun and engaging for students. Since launching in 2021, the Mashup Math Membership Program has over 10,000 daily active users who rely on our colorful and engaging math puzzles and resources to make their daily lessons fun and enjoyable for their students.
