Your Kids Will Love Our Pre-K Math Worksheets! Here’s Why:

All of the free Pre-K math worksheets in the library above were designed and created by elementary teachers with the goal of giving young learners, ages 3-6, fun and meaningful opportunities, to practice, learn, and explore basic fundamental math skills. Each Pre-K math worksheet is meant to present Pre-K math topics and concepts such as counting and recognizing shapes and patterns in a way that is fun and engaging, so that students can engage in math in an effective and enjoyable too! With this goal in mind, our worksheets can help kids to understand and remember key building block math skills that they will need to have a strong understanding of in order to be successful at higher levels of math in the future.

At Mashup Math, it us our belief that getting students interested in numbers and math as early as possible is incredibly important and crucial to future success. Since kids at the Pre-K level are being exposed to numbers and math concepts for the first time, it is incredibly important to start kids off on the right path and to make a great first impression. When kids start off with a positive experience of math, then they are more likely to want to pursue the subject further and have success at high levels of math down the line when they enter high school, college, and beyond. Since high-level math course are often a prerequisite for earning many desirable college degrees, starting your kids off on the right foot is a great way to increase their odds of being successful in the future.

While our Pre-K math worksheets are designed by students ages 3-6, then can often be uses with students all the way through the first grade. The topics covered on our Pre-K worksheets cover a set of core building block fundamental topics including numbers, counting, grouping, adding and subtracting, telling time, working with patterns, identifying the basic shapes, simple measurement, comparing sizes of quantities, and basic charts and graphs.

Kids can complete these worksheets with the assistant of a teacher, parent, or guardian, and they can also work through them independently. We recommend working with kids one-on-one with any particular worksheet until they become familiar with the directions and what is required of them. Once the child has become familiar with the worksheet, you can reduced the amount of support until they are able to work through them on their own. We do recommend remaining available to children when they are working independently to periodically check their progress to answer any questions they may have. When it comes to time, we recommend giving early learners as much time as they need and we do not encourage parents or teachers to put any type of time pressure on kids when they are completing a pre k math worksheet.

All of the Pre-K math worksheets in the library above are available as PDF files that you can easily download, save to your device, and/or print (in color or in black-and-white) with just a few clicks. Whether you opt to use them at home or in your classroom, the worksheets are great for teaching new topics, giving students extra practice, or even for extra credit or homework assignments.

We believe that the goal of completing such worksheets is to have kids interact with math in a way that is fun, engaging, and exploratory. The emphasis should also be on learning and growth over simply getting a right answer.
